Let's start the rumor mill? Any word on a July BMOC, and if so, how many?

yougonow · yougonow

Reports all over social media and within ranks indicate this week had a mass exodus of over 600-700 UMOS filing or ready to file their papers for retirement. Now along with a 4yr 1billion dollar budget cut, will that mean headcount cut? I know we dont solidly know.. but I believe no headcount cut, but go...

Dcas wont resume testing until 2022. So much for a Sgt test next year -- Edited by mrmonday on Thursday 21st of May 2020 11:18:51 PM

So i assume no test will be announced this year ??

Not to be negative Nancy, but I think many are in denial right now. With everything going on, this list may not even reach 1500. Who knows when the hell the next bmoc will be and anyone thinking the job will put big classes once they start again gives the NYPD too much credit. Its sad. Not trying to shoot any...

Anyone on the ball with keeping up with vacancies via finest messages at least? Anything?

DeezNutz · DeezNutz

Im not hating but it seems like most of names for the current BMOC are people who originally failed the exam. The job knew what they were doing when they decided to curve the list. The original list wouldve been exhausted by now. Congrats to all being promoted!!

Greetings all. I understand the frustration most of you who are close must be feeling. I do not wish to share OPINIONS or false narratives so I will make this brief. I wanted to let everyone know there is no rumors of upcoming classes, no talks of upcoming classes, and no plans for upcoming classes. I can...

So my wifes boyfriend spoke to Commissioner Shea on Friday, he told him that not only are they not putting in anymore BMOC classes but they are abolishing the rank of Sergeant. Those of us on the list are going to be given the option of a 2 week paid vacation or a bump to the new discretionary rank of Corpora...

TransitCop · TransitCop

This may be a stupid question but do medals give you extra points on the exam? If so, is it automatic or you have to submit some request form?

Might as well start the next one. Good luck to the next wave.

As we approach the halfway mark in the coming months, what are you hearing/thinking about where we will be by the end of 2020? If this pace keeps up I feel we could be touching 2000 by Jan 2021, which would be 3 years since the list went active. If the dept has any intention of finishing this list in 4 years th...
