So I am just curious with the mayors new plan to add 1300 new cops does that mean more Sgt to get promoted and list will move just a bit faster?????

Although I am aware that a June class just went in as of June 1st.......Just spoke to a SGT. That told me there would be a July class as well...Hopefully Brat can confirm.....Just figured I'd share......how reliable is the source, I'm not too sure, but they seemed confident....so I figured I'd share....

Is it true that if you get promoted to from detective investigator to sergeant, you go straight to top pay as a sergeant?? I've heard it both ways, and people on both sides "know" they're correct. Is there any proof, like in one of the contracts? stay safe

Just curious if any one can provide reliable reasons why someone can get passed over on a list besides not having enough time. I know a really bad evall (below 3.0) can hold you up. How about CD's? I was reading through NY Civil Service Law and section 26 states that four year count down start from the time the list is "established". Now, I coudn't find exactly what they mean by "established". Is our list considered "established"?
