It is just me, but I don't see many benefits in getting promoted to the rank of LT. I don't see why people call it the best rank on this job. I know that the base pay difference is about $14,000, but you loose about 28 chart days a year. Also, LTs get on average much less OT and are responsible for so much more. P...

How many years in rank do you need as a Sgt to be promoted to LT? Last I checked it was 3 years as a Sgt before eligible for LT, but some people have insisted that it is 2. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks.
