RE: Comparison and best patrol guides to study?

The Key's website says "Patrol Guides: Actual department text, perfectly updated, Patrol and Administrative guides, free to ALL"

Anybody know what this is about?

If it's "re-written actual text", I'm not interested....too much room for errors in the transcription. I'd rather just get a Looseleaf Law P.G., or use the real Department P.G. and A.G.

That's what I'm curious about. I always found the Key hand-outs to be sloppy and confusing (I just went to the classes for Shea). What are they giving out now?

Just an FYI for everyone, this was just pointed out to me about the Fast Track.... The # of weeks they are conducting classes, ends 6 weeks prior to the actual projected exam date. That means the $849 they're charging, does not include any "Cram" sessions that I'm sure they will be offering for an additional fee.... It's a little much in the way of an increase if you ask me...

Thats incorrect info, the $849 does include their cram course. The $699 package doesn't. Believe me I made sure of it b4 I paid it.

I used Rising Star for the last Sergeant's exam and read the loosleaf law patrol guide and I did very well without any classes. I will be using the key and rising star this time but once again I will be spending most of my time reading the patrol guide.

I'm disciplined enough to do Rising Star at home, and anal enough that I only want to read the actual P.G. and A.G. - not the KSA or Fast Track versions. I guess the Key works for some people, but me personally, I can do without boxes, arrows, diagrams, etc. ....just adds to the confusion and chance for mistakes.
