Don't think they've had both a December and January class in quite a while. Hoping for February!

They put a Class in 2014 and 2012...it all depends on the amount of Sgts needed so January is a possibility

Supervising patrol and not answering calls that's for sure lol. If I'm wrong even if I have to handle a couple of radio runs my work load will still be cut in half compared to the crap I do now.

It's done a week earlier during November and December because of the holidays. We still have to report the 21-25 to the classroom.

You have to get used to the transition but overall it will depend where you work and who you work for. So things can always change. Good luck to all getting made.

it really depends on where you work, the quality of your roll call staff, the CO, what tour you do, etc etc
while not yet a sgt, i see a lot of what they do, and it seems like a huge fing headache
the roll call is an absolute disaster every day, they actually come in before their tour starts to get a handle on it, and are still surprised when they come in and people aren't there
midnight roll call seems to be a joke every time...way easier
day tour seems just as bad or worse...way more units
worse now, and i think this is citywide, they cant get time ot for coming in early as they are no longer allowed to sign in to the cmd log before shift
they probably answer like 10 jobs a night on the 4by where im at to clear the que

If you go into promotion thinking things will be easier, you will be disappointed im certain
But you will eventually be compensated way better, no more mindless fixer posts, at least when you are inconvenienced, you will probably be sitting down in a warm car/precinct

Why are you trying to stir things up. I ended it.  You can tell I'm a rookie because I have an opinion you don't agree with?

The class of LTs in with us now is the very last off the 2011 list. If he pops in I'll ask him about the new list.

I understand sgt2be but I have to come here to get some legit info regarding the 2015 Lt exam because the 2015 Lt forum is out control with all that childishness by fellow sgts. You can't even ask a question on that forum because everything is a joke.

Fyi on pur first day of class Lt Ng said to his knoledge no one in 1pp or the job had any list in regards to the new Lt's exam. He made a brief statement about it during a break while bullshi**ing saying if we're lucky we'll have a shot at the Lt's exam in the near future depending on how many passed. So no need to listen to peoples bullsh** about the list, NO ONE ON NYPD KNOWS ANYTHING as of now. I'll let you know if anything gets said. However please let's not turn this into another Lt's forum. I'll let you gals and gents know if I hear about a bmoc for next month asap

Bmoc will know nothing about a list....I shook them down already. You'll find out about a list from pcs office or even omap when it's available. Please don't ever let this forum turn into the lt thread....unreal...good luck guys

even if 500 or so passed ( just throwing a number out there) they would give another test in a year or so...
