Listen my friend why you r worry about the letter. dcas will give you a passing grade if you take the test more than ten times cause I was looking at the finest msg the other day I saw a guy with 89 tax number just get promoted cause dcas tired of him taking the test so many times. So I guess you ll b ok
Oh did he? My apologies, I'm navigating on iphone and can't see all messages (well I can but sprint is too slow to go through them all so I usually go to the end). Anyhow thanks for the input and good luck to all.
Hi, everyone should spread the word in their commands to put up their answer key... I bet if we get over 500 answer keys, it will defitnitely change the outcome of our scores..
As for updates, Wingnut is correct. A few more keys won't really change anything. The sample size is large enough that it is about as accurate as it can be. Now it's just a waiting game until someone gets the proposed answer key from a protest session.
We really should concentrate on one test at a time, but I occasionally like to dream big. Does anyone who passes this test have a chance at taking the next Lt. Exam?
i believe the research involving this test Revolves around how well we make good decisions under pressure. The pressure was always there because we had to constantly rush our way through every single question and make a sudden choice. As far as the fairness, there was none. In order to make this test fair, we needed an extra hour for the 130 questions and immediately upon exiting the building a handout dictating the questions that were going to be omitted. That way the higher ups and dcas wouldn't be able to pick and choose their son and nephews wrong answers. Also. The test should be given on a weekday so that everyone can take the test on the same day.

The next lieutenants exam will likely be in the fall of 2014, figure October or so. If you did very well on this test, and have the time in rank to be promoted, I would say that you have a shot. My guess is that there will only be one or two sergeant promotions before the next lieutenants test.
I seriously doubt anyone from 2013 list will be able to take the next Lt exam by oct 2014 considering that the 2011 list will (although almost finished by then) but will still be promoted off of. Figure the 2011 list will be finished by dec 2014. And no, I doubt the list will be cut either.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say, absolutely no way.

so you think that only 2 classes will go in, in the next 11 months? come on...lol...most likely more like 8-9.

You misunderstood my statement. I meant that I would expect there to be one or two sergeant promotions from this list before the next lieutenants exam. It is a little unclear I guess.
Hey i started a thread called "protest review questions...strategy time" , mainly for posting questions that we want to protest along with the source of the material if anyone cares to contribute.
I physically went to Dcas for my scantron answer key on Monday and they said it will be mailed to my house before the protest review session, which still has failed to arrive.
It clearly states in the protest procedure letter that Dcas mailed to me that we have 30 days from the protest review session to submit protests by mail if we so choose, with 4 copies of your written protest for each question, along with 2 copies of the supporting documentation. We are going tomorrow to see what we scored first and foremost. since most likely no one will bring in the encyclopedia that we call a patrol guide, this is used to our advantage to check the questions that we think were unfair, try hard to remember them as best as can be, and then submit the protests by mail to:
protest Dcas bowling green station P.O. Box 974 NY, NY 10274-0974.
Once they receive your protests and post the exams eligible list, Dcas will then invite those who submitted protests to attend the test validation board. Don't get discouraged, we are in this together and have no help from the experts who taught our high priced classes. We need to collaborate our protested questions, we have power in numbers and our voices must be heard (braveheart moment).
I say there's a 65% chance someone goes EDP at the protest.
LOL, hit the nail on the head. Had a girl Screaming in the class and down the hall on the way out. Don't know what happened to her, but she would have been an EDP on the street.
when i was matching the answers, one thing i notice that the one they took out are the one majority of us got right according to matching sheet gamblor created for us. so much for pre-determined.=/
Might want to spell check that e-mail. I see you probably dropped the grammar question, but hey it must've been unfair.
***Edit*** As I spell "the" incorrectly! Hahahah. Moral of the story is study harder and you won't have to worry about what Pat Lynch is going to do for you to pass a civil service multiple choice exam.
