RE: A post test service for all of you. - UPDATED 10/23 @ 0045 hrs

With the latest update I have a
Best 100
Most likely 75
Worst 66
Bottom two actually went up one from before but before I had 29 possible wrong answers and now I have 32. Must have done something wrong before.

I asked the people from the key for their thoughts and this is his replay. DCAS is ridiculous. It was completely unfair. I don't know if it's protestable but it is completely ridiculous.

Everytime I input my answer I never get a most likely score, what am I doing wrong? According to this, I'm at 118 out of 130 so I'm feeling pretty good about my chances of passing.

Excel 2003 does that sometimes.  You can send me your answers and I'll plug them in for you, but I can say that with a worst possible of 88, you have the highest score I've seen so far.

A few people have that issue, you can send me your answers and I'll plug them in for you.

nice work. question. according to most recent i have 29 different answers. My question is how does it show a low of 67. Even if all of the 30 survey questions were not included in my wrong I would think the low is 71. Sorry if this has been answered before, if it has please let me know and I will go back and look. Thanks.

You have to take into consideration that all of the top answers are not slam dunks.  There are still a few low confidence answers (meaning theres multiple answers getting a lot of votes) as well as several double answers.

The low, and high, also take into account some of the questions that are too close to reliably call (doubles), so it will skew the score a little.

These are the numbers I'm getting but cant seem to get a value for "Most Likely". When you can, would you be able to PM me the number you get? I sent my answer to you earlier. Thanks

Pm your numbers ,  There's something wrong with the excel versions we are using to calculate our scores.

Anyone having problems with the Microsoft excel not showing the "most likely" answer can download cloudon from the apple App Store for free and it lets you use excel on iPhone/ipad

Hey, I know I have some messages pending from a few of you. I probably won't get to them for a day or two as I am running around trying to get everything together in preparation for my promotion tomorrow. I just wanted to check in and let you know that I haven't forgotten or left. I'll be around in a day or so. Thanks.

How accurate could this answer key really be? Take into consideration who sent gambler the answer keys, were those who sent them 100% confident they scored high? I just am hearing everyone talking about this key and a lot of people have numerous different answers when comparing to each others sheets. I do hope this is the most accurate way this can be done, but also hope not many end up dissapointed. Take everything with a grain of salt and keep your heads up. In a few weeks our fates will be decided.

Ps: thank u again to the good sgt who put the program together for us, just hope it's pretty spot on for those who may have passed

I AGREE with you 130% (pun intended)... This will be a curved test. Ask yourself this.... Why did they not allow the instructors take the test? Why did they throw in an extra 33% without allotting extra time? Why is DCAS NOT going to post the answer key on their website?  Why were these "experimental" questions about PG procedures and not surveys? Why we're these questions thrown in  randomly on these test? There are a lot questions not answered by DCAS that leads one to believe that this will be a curved test.

I'm failing to see how that equals a curved test.

I posted on another thread. The practice of sample or experimental questions is used on most standardized exams (SAT, ACT, GRE, LSAT, NY BAR). A "curve" is based off a bell curve where a certain percentage of test takers are meant to pass. DCAS does not care how many people pass. You have a Sgt. list with less then 300 on it, a few tests later a list with less then 800, then a 1600 list. Then a Lt. list that only gets to the test takers that got an 81% or above. Then a list where less than 700 people are on it and people are getting promoted with a 70%. All DCAS is concerned with is fairness. And by fairness I mean you are not comparing yourself against other lists or other tests, was this test equally difficult given - difficulty of questions, and time allotted to answer those questions - to everyone taking THIS test. That answer is yes. If some people took the test with the sample questions and got no more time, (while others took a standard 100 question test) that would be unfair to them. But everyone took the same test, and was allotted the same time, which makes it fair, and beyond reproach.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I couldn't agree with you any more OHNOES! And to all other who are claiming unfairness...
its very clear that it was fairly given. (No one got extra time. we were all equally caught off guard) This wasn't a test were anyone will say YOU HAD A LUCKY SATURDAY. It's not happening. i studied for almost a year and busted my ass 20+ hrs a week and then 4 weeks vacation up until the test. I felt walking in that I would score a 105 on it. According to the excel I did pretty good but  I busted my ass and ended up rushing...... 3hrs remained and 114questions to do.
I rushed like crazy and thought I wouldn't make it. If it wasn't for my study habits I wouldn't have finished because every answer jumped out at me and I had NO TIME to debate answers I thought were 50/50. You either knew it Instantly or didn't. Zero time for thinking and working out an answer. It was horrible when I know I could score in the 90's but instead prob settling for a high 70's to high 80's range. What seems more unfair is a makeup exam with everyone discussing the questions everywhere you go and all... and those people being 100% prepared for time management and  basic rundown..(I don't know anyone in particular but people overhear convo's) Hopefully we all passed  And can focus on the next future exam and be aware!
DCAS throws experimental questions to all other agencies In the same exact manner. They are NOT stupid and they Know EXACTLY what they are doing. We just have no answers which is why it sounds like a bunch of crying. No lucky Saturdays for anyone on this round Who didn't EARN IT. It is what it is

Hey guys having a real hard time with trying to figure out my scores.  Tried opening it on a mac and only got a best and worst which came out to a best of 93 and a worst of 63.  I then opened it on my ipad with "cloudon" and received a best of 93 and worst of 59 with a most likely of 69.  Which numbers are more accurate and how are they different?? was wondering if maybe someone could offer a hand! thanks again guys and good luck to all!

 Mike,

My Numbers app wasn't calculating my scores either.  Luckily, I also have Excel for mac so I used that instead.  If nothing else, throw the file on a thumb drive and do it at work.

My numbers app was WAY off in the calculations.  It had me best possible 100, worst possible 69, most likely 50.  Even Gamblor had no idea what the problem was.

I was able to unpucker my bum after the excel had me at best 100, worst 74, most likely 81!

That's awesome! I would almost rather my scores I got in numbers it had me at a best possible of 93 and a worst of 63, I then used "cloudon" app on the ipad (I dont know how accurate this app is) but it gave me a best of a 93, most likey of a 69, and worst of 59 no

The difference is in the less than high confidence and double answers aren't being calculated correctly in those apps.

Definitely is. Things have slowed down on this site a lot in the last day or two. I think the people screaming for appeals, lawsuits, etc have come down off their pitchfork mob high and are starting to realize that nothing is going to happen. I sent in my slip to attend the protest so I'll try to post the proposed answer key on ASAP but I'm pretty sure there are no electronic devices allowed.
