LT Exam Scores

I know entire commands where only inside people passed. Good for them though. Took advantage of their situation. Can't be mad at that.

This is the disappointing part with DCAS. These exams are computerized and all these questions come from a network.

Immediately after these exams are done they already know how many pass/failed. Its not some magic formula or a special software thats time consuming that needs to be accessed, lol. They have the numbers but havnt responded to FOIL requests.

Sucks man.

They dont want to release the numbers because these exams have been, and will be getting curved. It looks bad to show that only 250ish people passed an exam legit, then have a list of 1000+. Look at what they did for the Sgt exam. They released the numbers of raw score passers after they threw out 9+ questions and the list basically doubled lol.

I expected & prepared for a difficult test not what most of us saw on test day. That was beyond trickery by DCAS/exam writers.

Would you define your 6-8 months of dedicated studying please?  6-8 months of studying dedications turned into a 49?? Come on B. Your probably one of the Covid sgts that got made from 2017 list. If you didn't score passing score of 70, you do not deserve to get promoted at all. Just try harder next time..

The true question is who had applied the meowledge to the tall tale of an exam? I too believe the stripes are earned in hard work and perseverance of the whisker. 65 perhaps may not be the best score but may satisfy the hunger.

Great, we are going to have to deal with this cat clown for the next 4 years on this Lt thread.

If that was the case they would have done the same for both Captain and Sergeant list. Pure speculation.

Means they want to wait for the protest to be finished before they release it.

That list ISNT final for the Sgts exam. Plus dcas NEVER released the number of true passers for the Sgts exam before they threw out questions. So truly we don't know what the number of passers were for that exam before the throwouts. That list could've already been at that number but we will never know. That exam will too be getting curved. Idc wat anyone says

Makes sense, we will never know true number of passers. With protests scheduled for 2nd week of April, they will release the numbers after throwing out number of questions (just like they did for Sgts exam). Expect to see some people who scored in the 60s on that list

For the 2022 Sgt exam, day 1 pass rate was ~25%, Day 2 was under 10%.

Did most of the Lt exam failers take the day 2 test? I had day 2 and came in with a 53.

From people I know day 2 had better scores than day one with some significantly better scores. Im not saying they did something shady but you dont go from 71 on Sgt exam to 92 on LT just like that.

You dont want to be number 1299 on the list if there is no chance in hell to get promoted.

I wish they wouldn't make a big list with no intention of reaching the bottom names. Like just let us get on with life, if you failed the Lt exam big deal. Put in for a unit and move on. Being at the bottom forces you to stay where you are, like a unit would really pick you up when your on a list.

And someone who got a 95 on sgt exam got a 73 on Lts exam Day 2. Goes both ways. Dont add to the gossip.

100% not true. The job doesn't care if you're on a list, especially at the bottom. I was picked up while being on a promotional list. They will give you SA/SDS or LSA/LCD pay while being on an active promotional list as well.

True, last week I asked my CO for a day off and ended up getting SA pay. Theyre just throwing it out there.

The captains list seems to have maxed at a curve of 9 points from a 61 and down. So if you got a 57 you would need to pick up 4 throw outs just to get to the score of 70. I wish you good fortune in the wars to come.

Sounds much more likely than 200 something like the previous rumor going around.
