LCD/LSA is the way to go. Any time I see a LSA or LCD take the promotion to Captain, I want to smack them at least 100 times with a closed fist.

 There are people that actually do this ?! They must just be power hungry and want to advance so that they can attend fraternal dinners at Giandos and kiss ass

Haha I've seen and know quite a few. Some have aspirations of being a Chief one day (which I get). But fiscally, it doesn't make sense. You'll lose money going from LSA/LCD to Captain.

I know many LCD/LSA with 40 hours a month take the Capt promotion. Its a pay cut even if they went to top pay Capt. They justify it by getting a take home car. Some just believe in the job and aspire to bigger and better.
