According to the last few post promotions went from 50 to canceled. Then it went to promotions not being canceled to 76 being promoted. Then it was 100, now its back to 50. In a few hours they will be canceled lol. Who knows.

Yea, the vaccines are very high. Thats why I said they will get to 750+ by the end of the summer/fall the latest.

Ive been keeping up with the retirements. 293 lieutenants have retired so far this year and 13 are retiring in December. We should be right around 250 vacancies depending if they reduced the headcount or not. Also 25 captains retired, 49 D.I. And above retired. That should help as well.

Maybe Narco is right. They may average 72 LT promotions a year, over the next 2.5 years, and this list will die at 750.

To deny that at this point would be silly. The vacancies alone bring the list to 700 minimum. After that you need to keep up with retirements and promos to captain from the rank. Average promo for our list before giant vacancies, covid and the budget issues was 230 promos a year. I said it before Ill say it again, theyll now do 300 a year without batting an eye.
