I say a class of 40. I think they will do 5 to 6 classes for the year putting the list at 640 by dec hopefully

Putting 100 grandmas in that packed room to see little johnny make sgt doesnt make much sense. And were you on the job in 2008 when the financial collapse halted promotions for 6 months and there were 250-400 recruits in each academy class per 6 months?

The city already cut its expected revenue by 700 million.

Man, those were horrible times. I was the first of the small classes (250 recruits). They put in 600 recruits from Jan 2009 through July 2010.
