May 2019 Mentoring

Has anybody heard of the next mentoring class and when it would potentially start?

The last Bmoc went in 4/6/2019, so if current trends hold than the next mentoring group will likely be called in mid May to early June.

Again long time creeper, seldom poster on this page. But the village idiot in my command apparently has a contact in promotions who is saying next round of mentoring is 50 for May 13th. Please take this with a grain of salt and if anyone can back this up I feel like it will be fairly accurate information

There seems to be some truth to this upcoming Sgts mentoring. Emails went out this afternoon from uniform promotions requesting picks for commands by May 6. I don't know how many they sent out. Last time they sent out 75 emails but only 48 went in.

Considering the May Mentoring emails went out, what number on the list did they reach requesting the PO/Dets to pick a mentoring command?

I don't know about 100 in the next class I have a friend who's list nuber 58# he got an email from uniform promotions about upcoming mentoring. I have another friend who is list number 61# and he didn't get an email. They both have the same amount of time on and both work in patrol cmds so if they were doing 100 there's no reason for one to get mentoring and not the other. I'm thinking a class of 50 is more realistic.

I agree 100% we have 2 guys in 560s-580s who get email and one in the low 600s who didnt.  50 is much more realistic than 100

Choices for mentoring were supposed to be submitted by today. Any word on when this next group of mentoring will start?

Those guys got emails previously, I don't think any of them received then recently, and if so that sounds like a class of about 30 -40

That's what they did when this whole mentoring nonsense started. The puzzle palace wasn't 100% happy with what the cmds were doing originally. That's why they came out with an actual PG procedure for it. Basically there supposed to treat sgt's on mentoring like gray shirts from the academy, riding with a supervisor. But as we all know PG and real world are two different countries. I guess as long as their moving this list, three weeks on foot now is better than everyone not getting promoted.

Yea pretty sure everyone is not getting promoted just based on how slow this list is moving compared to the size I'm over 2200 and at this rate unless they put in classes over 80-90 don't see it getting finished especially if less people are going into mentoring every month meaning less people in bmoc

when the list was first released I heard from a reliable source that the magic number was 2,000. The list was on pace for that between Feb 2018-Feb2019, but now its moving too slow to maintain that number. I hate to speculate but it looks more like 1,500 now especially with talks of less new academy classes going in.

I believe around 450 or so sgts were promoted last year, how many sgts have been promoted so far this year??

I think around 150 which is nothing, this list is getting cut like i said in the other forum do the math even if they did 75 a class per year from the start, it still wouldn't reach the whole list, now their lucky to even touch 1700-1800 unless the classes dramatically increase the amount of people in them to around 90-100 which i think is not gonna happen then start studying caus you aint getting made

BMOC June 3
Promotion July 1st?
All tentative pending PC sign off.

Makes sense. I know emails went out on Wednesday for mentoring choices. Confirmed two people between 610-620 got emails to choose commands. Choices were due in on the 6th.

Far from it just being realistic numbers do not lie, all the rumors are just that rumors until you see actual larger sized classes goin in or the list being extended than for right now doesn't seem like the list is moving the way it needs to in order to finish, if ur over 1800 you should take the next one no matter what thats what i plan on doing. Believe me i hope someone comes along on this forum with some new info but until then you have to go by what numbers they are actually promoting...

I just hope there isnt a class in mentoring when the job does decide to cut the list. That would suck

Yea 100% it is Getting cut classes of 50 in bmoc is not getting anywhere close to 2000 names lol and u can thank this mentoring program for it. Instead of getting 10 classes a year now ur lucky to get 7 or 8 because of the length of bmoc and mentoring. they may as well jus say hey passing score is 80 now

Don't forget there were less than 1,000 people that had originally passed. With all these throw outs and a list of 2,700, the job has the names there in case they need it. New number is 1,500-1,600 unless theres a mass exodus of sergeants, which is unfortunate.

The number is 50. Class sizes will increase exponentially either after this one or the next.
