College credits check with Educational tracking unit. Sometimes they mess up and don't have them on file. CCRBs can hold you up. Open IAB cases. Pending charges. prior charges you have to go in front of CARB board to get their blessing in order to get promoted. If it's not credits I would call my union to find out why I was skipped. Good luck.

Does anyone know if getting sued by a perp for an arrest for excessive force will HOLD you up on the list?

Is there an open IAB investigation for excessive force? Or by CCRB? Can't have any open investigations or pending charges.

Closed iab investigation and no charges or ccrb. Just pending lawsuit from perp. Do you go to CARB for pending lawsuits too?

Nope. You'll be good. Ive been sued plenty of times. You get to go in front of the board if you got in trouble like charges and specs or bad evaluations and so on.
