So if you are a white shield hoping to get promoted before becoming a boss is that no longer a possibility?

Unless you're getting made detective before July or August I would say no.

Read the memo!
3 & 5 specifically.
And not for nothing but you can get into BS no matter where one is at whether in narco, gang, 073 PCT, or even 005 PCT.
Look at the bright side if you're on this list you have nothing pending and you are just weeks away from going to BMOC.

There's a significant distinction between staying where you are and avoiding bullSh** with the HELP Of your Crew and being at a place where they could care less about you because your leaving in a ... month or so. Take this foot post, take this hospitalized prisoner, or take this bag of sh** collar. Its ALL OUT. Theres a fancy name/Twist to it. You believe a Senior Sergeant is going to throw OUT his Driver to put you ---- a Nobody ---- in his place ?  If so, you must not be familiar with how this job actually works. If you were apart of a Small Team.. you would understand what i mean by -- AVOIDING -- things more Easily.

If you think this will make you a better supervisor -- continue drinking the coolaid

I agree with you. My team took care of me like a princess and I'm a guy. Lmao

its garbage and is designed to create "ALL OUT" with more People in an articulate way

its TRASH. --- unless your in TRANSIT. A HOUSE MOUSE assigned to a Precinct continues their HOUSE MOUSE DUTIES but the CRIME/NARCO GUY in the streets has to get transferred to LEARN NOTHING. That's my point. Its based on command CODE.. and not your specific DUTIES.

House mouse who continues to stay house mouse cuz their assigned to a Precinct ?

lucky You. The worker once again doesnt get rewarded.

I understand where you coming from but all I'm saying look at the light at the end of the tunnel. Expect the worst, hope for the best. Look at the bright side, Lt exam is around the corner and everyone left on the list is going to get a shot at it =)

The SDC instructors said 2 weeks after the 5/15 another class is going in and another two weeks after that.

That's not bad then. I can survive two weeks on a foot post.

Stop bitching, consider yourself lucky if you have been able to spend time studying at work up to this point, most of us have been out on patrol answering the radio and only able to study on our own time so suck it up at work for a few weeks, stay out of trouble, and study at home

This looks like anyone who is looking to defer promotion that isn't close to 18 months by August will have to take promotion. This list will be dead as soon as the last person gets promoted. This includes the passovers... They will have to clear what ever reason they are being passed over as well....

Nope. I'm hearing this is like all out, you report to your command first sign in and then report to whatever place they send you, don't know if there's any truth to this.

Some of you guys are funny....stop crying and just ride it out....first of all I was a Det before getting promoted so I've been there done that...some of you might think this program is BS and it might turn out to be BS but you have to now be in the "boss" mindset, you are no longer a cop so if you think ur gonna stand a foot post or be stuck on a bag of **** ur sadly mistaken...there was nothing better that came out of Bmoc than the week they send us for field training and ur right the senior sgt did not kick their drivers out but I sat my ass in the back of an uncaged supervisors rmp and asked questions and saw how things worked...instead of being so negative just be glad this job is throwing you A bone and allowing you to take the LT test...

Guy just because you are in a unit where you are driving the boss everyday and watch him sign and seal does not mean you know how to do the job...stop being a baby and just do the program you will probably learn things you don't know..if you want to study, study on your own time because since you know so much about the department and it's functioning you should know you probably won't get much studying done riding the desk you rookie

Hard to sympathize with this crybaby when some of us are chasing the radio with no meals, no chance to study like this idiot...shut the fuuuck up and take a footpost for the next 2 weeks...unbelievable! I can't believe you're upset cause the job doesn't let you study on job time...wow!!
