2013 list

Does anyone have any information on when this list is coming out? It's been way too quiet...

It's quiet because we still have 600 names to burn through from 2011. What's the rush. If I'm number 400 on the list today, I'm probably going to be #400 a year from now!

We are all getting frustrated because we should have gotten our official grades by now and the city is just stalling not rushing getting promoted but want to see the list #goingon1/2ayearnow

I think we should get frustrated if we don't get the grades by the end of next week.

I was doing some spring cleaning and I found my 2011 SGT score and it was dated 4/9/12. Hopefully we hear something this week or next week.

Unfortunately it's going to be long from now unless they cut the current list. Two list can not be made for the same promotion it's right on dcas.

(b) Unless otherwise provided, an eligible list which has been in existence for one year or more shall terminate upon the establishment of an appropriate subsequent like list for the same title. Also

s. The creation of the eligible list usually occurs six to nine months after the test date.

I would say early 2015

I figured that was the case but I was hoping it wasnt... looks like a long wait just to see our list.... does this apply to the official score as well?

Why promote someone with a 70 when you can promote someone in the mid 90's...

Because both people are called the same thing, sergeant.

It's hard to judge. There hasn't been a list this large in the '70 is passing' era. They have run the entire list of all the others in the past. I'd like to know what list number did they get up to before cutting the last list that was cut. What was that last person's score?

My gut feeling, and this is with no insider info at all, is that 2011 list will go the distance without being cut, at roughly the same rate it has been going (roughly 46 promotions a month). I'm also not expecting to see the official score and list for the 2013 test until the job is ready to promote off of it, which will be about a year from now.

For the folks right on the brink this time is torture. I had a 68 raw score on the 2011 and was at my mailbox every day like a kid waiting for Santa. This time around I did much better so I know 99.99% that I passed. Much different feeling this time around!

The real torture is my mind thinking I messed up the answer sheet and I really failed instead of 78 lol

This is absolute torture! Wingnut, how could you say why rush? Because we want official scores! I don't care about the list, but at least give me my official score. I got near a 90 when I went to the protest session but I am not satisfied until I see my real official scores.

Someone HAS TO HAVE some information, ill even take a rumor right now, lol...anything to give us some hope. I know the list is a LONG WAY from coming out, but shouldn't we get our scores soon?

I am checking these forums 20x a day hoping for an update and nothing.

This sounds like it's really bothering you. If you went to the protest and compared your answers with the answer key and you had 90 out of 100 right then guess what? YOU GOT A 90. Possibly higher! Relax!

Unfortunately the scores are not mailed till urge list is established. Along with protest. I wrote a few protest and have not heard anything except that a very low number of people passed the test. I myself am on the border so I am hoping for the best. See the list in another year with the grades if wall that said is true. I also think there will be a 2015 test

I'm starting to think the longer the better. Too many of you on here have no idea what being a cop even is yet. 3 years of impact, and then you pass a test and act like "omg I want to be a Sgt now!" Actually learn what the inside of an rmp looks like first. I say good to making those cops who fit that criteria have to wait. I'm sure I'll get some hate responses but I just had to vent a little with all the whiny posts on here. 3 to take 5 to make is too dam quick! Should be 5 to take 7 to make.

It's used to be less than 5 years so enough with the 'when I was you age I walked uphill to school, both ways' BS. Also, many of those passed with less than 70. Now does passing a multiple choice test make you a good boss, absolutely not. But please, stop the 'never seen the inside of an RMP' nonsense.

I've seen wonderful bosses that were do nothing, house mouse cops, and I've seen active patrol cops be awful bosses.

Because we can't wait to get our score, we are whining? Studying our asses off for 6 months, to wait another 6 months to get our official scores is complaining?

As far as your sad comment about 5 year wonders, I myself am not going to be a five year wonder. I have a pretty decent resume, and I am actually not anxious to become  a SGT I just want to see my OFFICIAL SCORES. With that being said, I WISH I could have hit this rank at 5 years. I have no hate for those that do, should they sit out and wait so people like yourself can approve? Please bro, you need a life, focus on yourself instead of young dudes who are ambitious enough to keep moving up at an early stage. These comments, IMO, show how jealous people are of young bosses. I've worked with tons of bosses, great 5 year wonders and terrible veterans and vice a versa. Keep it moving with that garbage bro.

Lol. A little defensive are we? Nice rant though. Crime analysis in the 123 pct will be lucky to have your passion when you get made. no

Learning patrol doesn't necessarily mean you'll make a better boss.  The truth is that it depends on the individual and the training.  A 3 year cop in the 75 precinct is probably going to learn more than in the 123.  That doesn't mean that one will be better than the other.  Impact is not a bad tool, its only bad when the guy training you has 6 months on you.  It all depends on the individual, I am a 5 year wonder who was lucky enough to have good bosses.  I kept my mouth shut and took down hard lessons.  If you lead by example and know how to do your job, everything else takes care of itself. Some people are leaders and others are just bosses.
