He's getting promoted up front and will be scheduled to go into the next BMOC. That's doesn't mean that there will be a class, just that he will go into the next class. Btw. What is his promotion date? Is it with this BMOC?

Well listen all I know is he was specifically told next week. So maybe they're just saying that out of habit but this is what he was told.

If he is getting promoted next week then that is a upfront promotion. He will go into the next class. Doesn't mean that there will be a class next month. I know guys who got promoted and sat at the property clerks office for a month waiting for a bmoc class to go in so they can join them.

There still might be a December class. We will know by the weeks end.

Last month someone talked to a PAA from somewhere who said there wouldn't be a class. They are PAA's they all think they know everything. ..If they knew sh*t they wouldn't be PAA's.

The "no bmoc as of yesterday" statement is false. I spoke to a UMOS at emd yesterday afternoon who is directly involved in this info. That person confirmed that, as of yesterday, there was NO WORD. The PAAs are spreading info they know nothing about.

Up front promotion just means that persons list # has passed so he must get promoted now. Has nothing to do with whether or not there will be a bmocc soon. If there is a dec bmocc he will obviously go straight into it. If not he will sit somewhere in an admin position until there is a bmocc. I was promoted upfront and sat at the academy for a week until bmocc started.

Weird that your ICO would tell you that when it's the admin LT that deals with transfers and sh*t like that. People should call the Uniform Promotions Unit. They are the ones that organize the classes. That's LT Ng's office. If they haven't done anything by now it's getting close. They generally "need two weeks prior to a schedule promotional class going in" to schedule trainings and things of that nature. "I kid you not," as the good LT would say in BMOC after every war story. Worth a shot giving them a call this morning. Good luck everyone, here's the number: 646-610-6855

Problem is these PAA's sit at the desk directly in front of the two lieutenants that run the show. So unless she is blind and deaf, it would be hard not to hear or see them preparing for an incoming class. There's a giant whiteboard in that office that has what list number they have reached for each exam, upcoming promotion dates and classes as well. The last 3 years they've had either a sgt, lt or cpt class go in as the 'holiday' class. There are no lt's or cpt's going in next month, so hopefully that's a good sign.

I have no reason not to believe box, he is in the current BMOC. Another month to pay the rent. Least i can take a my S-vac. Not that i couldn't in bmoc, but it would have felt like a waste of days from just sitting around doing squat.
