Correct. But when people mention 40 etc those are additional. The round robin occurs every promotion. Yes the same amount get cleared, but due to class sizes, additional get cleared. Does not mean however that many will go in. Clearances have nothing to do with next class size

Whoever didn't see it, the post said the number was 10 for lieutenants. We are coming up to 2 years on this list. We left off at 536 from the last class. There are 1,218 people on the list. If they put 10 in on 10/3, and maybe another 30-40 by the end of the year that puts us at 586, leaving us with 632 to get promoted over 2 years. Is this list going to get cut? For whatever reason the job doesn't want to make more lieutenants and captains based on the promotional numbers we've had for the last 6 months.
We are 300 LTs short of this exact time last year. The list will 100 percent get made. Theres also over 90 Capt and above on terminal leave so thats 400 LTs that need to be promoted without a single Lt or captain putting in paper over the next two years. Patience
What I was told from my buddy, no class this month since they already put one in at the beginning of this month. October there is a possibility but it might be at the end of the month, November and December there is definitely promotion for all ranks.
They should have left that religion alone when tests were done on Saturday. Now you got multiple days test, people who passed still waiting and people who failed are already promoted. This mayor has the highest resignation and this commissioner who is a billionaire has cut a lot of the overtime. You got a detective who never passed anything running the show. You got former commissioners and chiefs suing. I do not know what to make of anything anymore.

Unions are part of the problem. They are corrupt themselves. There are 10000 procedures, DCAS can clearly mention 400 procedures to give us to study, mentioning that the test will come from these procedures. You want to have different tests? No problem, but it will come from these procedures. If that happened there would be no argument. The sergeant exam people cheated, so now you have day two with the most throw outs and you telling me that they do not know what was on the test? or how hard the test was? You got spouses, siblings, and others taking the test on different days. This commissioner and the mayor are now on the way out from the look of it. I am not a big fan of Mamdani but how bad can it get after Di Blasio? We still had overtime and Shea was not that bad. Under Adams...how many commissioners resigned due to corruption?
But we all know the job wont put 25 lts every month for the next 2+ years. There will be plenty of months with 0s especially next 2 summers along with plenty of months with just 10LTs
