youre not mentioning though the classes of 2005 and 2006 up for retirement? A lot higher than those 1300 numbers going in. My point is stop relying on useless information for future promotions

We are currently in unprecedented times. I dont think we can gauge future promotions on the dept current state. This administration seems to do things differently from pasts administrations and can care less on supervisor vacancies being there. Lets hope things pick back up but I have no faith in this current administration.
I think we can get a better gauge on things to come after the mayoral race is over. keeping fingers crossed that they keep promoting. I thought after the fiscal year was over on
July 1st , things would change. I was sadly mistaken. lets all keep the faith like you said and hope that things pick up as these guys graduate.
But it's not 1000 POs retiring. it's how many sgts will retire and needed to be replaced. If a lt retires that Lt needs to be replaced causing a Sgt to need to be replaced. there are people of all ranks retiring, so its way more complicated then just numbers in and numbers out.
