600 graduated two weeks ago. Anther 1,000 graduate in July. And anther class of 690 went in academy two weeks ago.

They are also trying to put another 200 backfill recruits

in about a week or so.

Unfortunately I am hearing that there id no sgts now being promoted until July. I will update as i get new info.

Probably want to wait till the contract takes effect and the Sergeants are at the new pay. And knowing the city they will wait the full 90 days till around August

The contract is ratified. anyone promoted now will fall under the new contract. Last contract in 2021 it was ratified on 1/29. They put a sgt class in week later to on 2/7 of like 220. And those 220 were under the new contract.

That makes sense because NYPDs fiscal year runs July-July so, in July your

starting a new fiscal year .
