Can't name my source because I'll be giving them up but I can tell you that you can't have a better source than this one. I'll be back to say I told you so but I don't always have contact so I won't be able to confirm future ones. Don't have to take me word for it, I know its hard to take ppls word on here, but apparently its definitely happening.
Sorry bud, it doesnt work like that. Theres literally no one in the Department that supersedes the money. The first to know if there are promotions is the DCMB. OMB sends an approval to the DCMB then the DCMB lets the PCs office, Personnel, and SIB know that we are good for promotions. As of today OMB has not approved.

35amonth stop with negative information. Tenfour is right. Check yourself.
Read what I wrote- lol
Im just explaining how the process actually works. It is not negative at all. whoever the Key Captain gets it from, that person can not confirm until OMB green lights it. Ill bet my pension on it, albeit scraps since Vinny is an incompetent moron.
Lol hey man I wasnt trying to shit on anyones info. We do that here too much. He knows what he knows but we also have to remember how fast shit changes on the job. His info actually wasnt wrong, that process is real just looks like he wasnt given the latest update (35amonth). Lets chill were on the same team.
Unfortunately if the meetings hasnt happened yet, its trending in a bad direction.
I dont want to sound like a know it all but the meeting happens every month regardless of promotion. One of the outcomes is a hiring and promotion request to OMB. The meeting itself Is in the form of a personnel update to the PC in collaboration with OMAP, Personnel, DCMB, and 1st Dep. They look at vacancies, attrition, promotions, civilian laterals from other agencies, terminal leaves, meld etc. The department submits and waits until OMB gives the green light. Common practice is to put in for 100 promotions and OMB approves 60 so we promote 60.
Hope this helps.

Definitely not having a promotion ceremony when the mayor is indicted and god only knows how many people in 1pp are next. The job is in real chaos right now. We can be looking at major defunding which will lead to mass exodus since the overtime train kept many people staying. Hang tight these lists will get exhausted its just going to be very bumpy
I think top pay SSA/SDS is 3 years in rank. I can see waiting a year but 2 has no point. Might as well take the promotion.
It is 3 years in rank to top pay. $135,511 base salary for SSA/SDS. Entry level lieutenant is 135,595 base salary. I don't see what the point is in waiting. 2/16/2025 lieutenant base salary goes to $136,893 am I missing something here? Why would you wait?
