I mean I can sort of see that happening. I mean who's to say that DCAS cant throw a committee together, get new questions, administer an entirely new test, create a new list after multiple protest sessions all before the next promotion date? It can definitely happen! After all, with 5 years of planning look how well they did. Imagine what they can do with three weeks!

IMO, they won't because that will spawn a different set of lawsuits on them.

Same as always guys and gals its way too early for numbers. Possibly by the end of week or 3 week of BMOC we should have a ball park number.

Its barely the 2nd week of BMOC. Its way to early id say by next week there should be early numbers for promos.

Not to be that guy but lieutenant in my command said during CompStat it was stated there will be no promotions till after summer. Dont shoot the messenger lol. Just passing what I heard forward. I trust the KeyCap more though haha.

KEY CAPT info is accurate ! JULY 24 , JAN 25 , and JULY 25 mass retirements . Everyone reaching 20 is leaving the job. I looked at the terminal leave numbers and theres a lot of people leaving. POs are in the 200s , SGTs roughly 100 . LT is the only rank that was low and it was about 19 I believe the number was . So yea promos will continue. Also keep in mind an academy class is scheduled to go in July 2 or 3rd I believe with 600 new POs. Hang tight, be patient and most importantly be safe !

In addition to that I beg all of you especially those of you who are in the thousands 2000s 3000s and or better please please do not listen to any of these rumors going around that dcas is going to cut the list. Even though there was cheating decas already addressed it how they see fit with the letter and with the curving that is all they're going to do they're not going to cut anything unless the time runs out on the test which is in May of 2027. So if you hear this breaking news crap about oh they're going to cut the list cuz of cheating they're not going to do that that's going to be a whole other world of problems that they don't want don't worry everything is fine and remember God is always in control

I could have sworn I heard that the SBA advised them to wait till they reach Top pay before taking the promotion. I could be wrong though

Pay wise 5.5 itll put them at top pay sgt. Before that itll be entry level sgt. There are a few that took it before top pay god bless them .

Just checked 8 passovers hit 5 years on July 1, 2024. Would they still be promoted this class and be given a little grace period? Or would they have to wait till the next class?

With the abuse cops are taking citywide, you cant even blame them if they get out asap and leave money on the table

Trust me I understand

And no there is no grace period has to be on your 5 year anniversary date so they wont be eligible this class . Next class they will . But most are passing until they reach 5.5 . And the ones that are close for retirement are no taking the promo because of OT and pension .
