The issue for LT right now From what I was told is that they have caught up to the vacancies so they will not over promote, and July begins the new fiscal year as well

Its only a matter of time before they all slow down. Vacancies and retirements/promos to new rank are the only thing that promotions are based on. If theres none of either you cant promote. Vacancies are what determine the budget for the rank. just have patience and the promotion will come.

 We never had 25 LTs, we had 25 clearances and the job decided to skip this month. Also there is absolutely nothing saying no LTs until July. We will see what May brings.

 No idea where they are getting those numbers from unless theyre counting that hypothetical 4th Platoon commander for 12 Hr tours. Even then it seems very high

Supposedly after July Lt promos should pick up again I have heard 350-400 for the year is the number they wanted so if they put in 3 more classes they would hit that number. So I would assume we get a July class September class and a December class to finish out the year

I dont know where you guys are getting this 1500 number. Theyre at the max number right now which is in the 1700s. There are currently no vacancies. Im hearing lieutenant promotions are done for a bit. They went through 225 lieutenants already. Be happy

 The only difference they did promote 14 Captains creating some vacancies. Perhaps a small LT class similar to what they used to look like?

I was told they are clearing only 20 names this month for Lt. So I wouldn't expect much if any.
