Everyone is going to hate me; and Im probably wrong but Im hearing the end of next week. August 24th/25th for a list.

On another beaten path topic, iMHO our testing process is flawed beyond salvation on so many levels. We need an independent entity to create a process thats not only transparent but measures intelligence, fitness, procedural knowledge, and basic decision making. This can be done but unfortunately theres no appetite for progress. We still operate like its 1947. Thats my rant. Lol

I heard the same thing couple days ago its been a rumor floating around but I dont see the list dropping so soon with almost zero chatter.

Anyone have an updated numbers for vacancies? Just went back to 2017 thread and they put in classes of 50 back to back with only 80ish vacancies. I can see two to three big classes to close the gap then slow down.

Anyone here correct me if Im wrong. When you go to the DCAS site and check your promotional exams it says that this current Lt exam has an established date of 12/20/23. If you click on the little info button it says that this was the first date the department started hiring from the current list. Did someone get secretly promoted and they started the clock on the list? Did anyone else noticed this one the site? Unlike the 2017 Sgt. Exam, it says established 1/24/18 because thats when the first class started.

mine only has, date of when the list was established, which is 12/20/23

As someone else has pointed out, we believe the department had full intentions of promoting off the new list for the last promotion and decided the readjust the list instead.

Yes, DCAS established this right away instead of publishing it. The list was actually complete on 12/20 and for some reason it took 8 days to be made public. Typical. Established means the 4 year clock is already ticking. The expiration date for the exam is 12/20/2027.

Maybe DCAS tried to establish the list for the 12/22 promo but failed as usual.
