That doesnt make much sense as the Sba is still working on theirs and the Lba is waiting for the Sgts to finish first.

The CEA is part of a coalition including those other unions the rates are the same as the PBA pattern.

That won't happen until is ratified.  That document is prepared by Labor Relations and posted on their portal.

I heard from my delegate that the numbers are accurate. Looking to ratify it in the next few months and implement it before the end of the year.

Directly from the cea president during an in person q and a

They met with city rep ( who took the whole month of july off) in august to discuss specific items particularly regarding the  captains.

Ballots expected in oct/nov to be snail mailed

No online voting bc it requires changing the bylaws.

CEA desperately needs young blood.

CEA and LBA are not going to ratify till after Sgts.

Sgts are still working out issues with the 12 hour tour stuff.

This may be awhile.

Every 5 yrs as a Capt we get the pension of the next higher rank correct? 5 yrs as a Capt our pension is that of a top pay DI?

With the latest LBA raise (3/16/24). Will a LSA/LCD at the 2nd step go straight to top pay Captain if promoted before the next captain raise in September?

LCD 2nd step $152,380 plus service differential of $3,578 comes out to $155,958. Captain 3rd step is $155,287 so technically yes you would go to top pay before the next Captain bump on 9/22. At least this is my understanding unless someone else can debunk it.

A DI makes 8-9K more than a Captain.  That's an extra 4K a year in the pension.  Divide the 4K by 12 and you get $333 more in a pension check

The chart above looks like its just under $12k. Which would equal about $500 more a check. Unless Im missing something?

Its just base pay not the other stuff like holiday etc. 220 vs 209 so about 11k and its also looking at 2026 raise not current schedule

So based on that contract listed above if Im reading correctly. Top pay captain will be $232k and top pay LT is $163k? $59k difference between the two? Or is the $163k true base and the $232k is everything included?
