The list expired in January 2023. Not sure where you are getting 24 from. And btw that was with the 1 year extension. They are able to promote still from what I understand because the new list isnt active yet.

If you log into DCAS it shows it expiring in 2024 now

Thats because they keep promoting off of it due to a new list not being available. 4 years plus 1 is January 2023. they clearly just threw a 24 date on to justify continued extension.

Regardless of why it was extended, it is extended to 2024. The reasoning doesn't matter. DCAS doesn't " just throw a date on it" to justify anything. As with all things city, liability and litigation is at the heart of things we do and the exam list was officially extended an additional year to 2024 as needed.
