 Its dependent on vacancy.  Nothing more. DCAS has CHANGED the game. They want these ridiculously hard exams so they can curve the exam. All this means is less lawsuits. Exams will be given with less frequency until the city reach the desired amount.

When is this list coming out? Dcas site does not update apparently. Sgt test passers do not have their scores updated on dcas.

Sgt, Cpt test was in august 2022. 
cpt list came out in December. Previous list was exhausted so they published early. 
sgt list 2017 still had couple of hundred names, no reason to rush, and it came out in may. 
keeping in mind that 2017 LT list is done, expect your list end of summer, early fall

Just a side note.....they are also promoting Lts to Cpts soo there WILL be Lt vacancies. The Lt list im.sure will have to get established soon

Theres a rumor going around that the TVB is done and there were throwouts. Not many but that a preliminary list of passers is being released pre-curve, just like the sgts test.

 Where are you coming up with all these random details ?

It is believed that this preliminary list will be like the Sgts one before the final list. With just names of passers over 70. Go on the Sgts forum and look at what was done pre-finalized list. They dont have scores.

Curve will happen most definitely. Raw scores get adjusted and then the final score is with the scale/curve

EXAM was curved! Lets not dispute this. With attrition and retirements ,the city needs to have a healthy list of eligibles. Congrats to all of those who will make this list. As for dying on ANY of these lists, no one knows. Even me!
