The 2022 Sergeant exam, they said the same thing that it was a low amount of passers and it ended up being 2600 people passed maybe this test is the same way and its a big list.
I know someone who originally scored a 63 and ended up on that raw score list. That 2,400 list is after a bunch of throw outs. I heard around 1200 passed originally.
100% accurate. My original raw score before the TVB was a 67. On the final list my list number was 14*!. 1200 sounds about right

2600 people passed after the curve. This guy is saying 700 people passed on test day
There is alot of misunderstanding. 2600 ppl passed the Sgt exam after throwouts. In addition, a curve is also being applied, making the final amount of passers much more.
This was confirmed by ppl who their military points verified but were not part of the 2600 ppl list that s was shared.
The test will be curved. Heard from a source everyone will get 0.231 points for every wrong questions they got. So that means if you got a 61 you will pass. Have to multiply 39x0.231=9009. Some people below 61 will get to 61 with the throw-outs.
If thats the case then alotta people are going to get leap frogged lol if i had a 59 then make it to 61 with throwouts, that means when i hit that 61 i apply the curve formula you ust provided which puts me at 70 and then alllll of my medals seniority and JST points kick in
Exactly. Lets wait and see. According to the source, something like that was done for Sgts. and Capts. I personally know a Lt that got in the 62s-63s and is now on the list.

Exactly. People are delusional. Im just telling you guys what Im told. Take it for what it is. You lease dont shoot the messenger.

This is exactly what happened with the CAPTs exam, you sure youre not confusing LT for CAPT?

I would find it highly unlikely that after 2 exams being curved that our LT list will not be curved. This may not be the CAPT exam but if they are to curve it I would think they would probably do something similar to what they did. It makes no sense to have a CAPT list of 489 and have a LT list of around that like 450-500 if thats how many actually passed because your not addressing any LT vacancies for over 4 years if they try to push the Capt list. Jus my humble opinion
When theres different versions of the same exam, the curve is used to level the playing field and make it fair in regards to one exam being deemed harder than another. Since we had four exams and four sessions a curve would most certainly seem likely. This is speculation but given past history it seems like the most obvious choice. We shall see but I believe when its all said and done we just have to wait and see how low the curve will be.
In other news, Im hearing the sergeants list will be released after the PBA ratifies. Also hearing SBA and LBA are looking to settle very quickly to avoid pay disparities. Any union guys on the air that can give some insight into our contract?
DEA and SBA are looking to settle within 60 days of the PBA ratifying their contracts. Theyre currently negotiating. Curious as whether the LBA will try to jump on this 12 hour tour idea.
Absolutely not to 12 hour tours. i have an hour commute one way. Thats 14+ hours a day; and no way are they giving RDO overtime. We did that crap during the riots and I was physically ill after 6 days.

This is 100% accurate they want everyone settled so they can start testing the tours. The SBA wants to get a 160k top pay but well see.
The 0.231 scale was applied to the 2017 Sgt Exam, dont confuse that with any other test. Each test should have its own scale applied to achieve the amount of passers the job wants.

DrPapi on the air ? Can you confirm ?
One has nothing to do with the other. Yes there are talks (unions) of but nothing solid. All rumors. Nothing on the table. Thats all I know.
This papi character is that supervisor that shows up to scene and asks cops what they should do. Doesnt want to make a decision and gives general answers with its up to you in the end of every statement and if something goes south he washes hands and blames cops. Guy is a fraud.

Bro, you do know by working 12 hour tours you work 60 days less per year? That's an additional 2 months off you get.
The only reason that whole list got made was because Covid extended the list 1 extra year. That list would have died at the high 900s-1000. Also, you got to understand there were mass retirements throughout the department because of the George Floyd riots/Defund the police movement which helped push the list along.

I dont think that year extension mattered much. The dept stopped promoting during the first year of covid so it basically cancels out that extension. I think the riots and the subliminal conditions we were working in played a major part in the retirements which ultimately helped that list.

I don't recall that at all. I know plenty of people that got promoted during the Covid year. They unfortunately got promoted at the academy, by themselves with no family allowed to be in attendance.

I think it was for about 7-10 months without promos once the riots began.
From 2023-2027 is a mass retirement window of people hitting 20. If you look on departments staffing dashboard, there are over 500 Lts with more then 20 years on. The job may need more Lts then many believe, especially when you consider theres a large Captains list and its the rank of Lt they need to hire from. I say they need a 1,000 person list for sure.
