My understanding is you need to pass any promotional exam before military, seniority or medal points are applied but how often can you use them? For example, once you pass the SGT exam theyre all applied but if you pass the LT exam are those same points applied to that exam and so on for the Capt exam? Or is it a one and done type of thing. Thanks.
Military is one time. Seniority is applied based on time in rank for each test. Medals I believe are also one time, if you accrue new medals after the initial promotion, then they would be applied to the next test.
Ive never seen it in writing anywhere but I was under impression that military points can only be used once on a promotional exam. Know a military guy that didnt use them for Sgtss exam and was saving them for LTs exam. But im not military so Ive never actually looked into it. Im sure DCAS would be able to answer it for those who are former military.
Incorrect . All fit points are used for the test. You may accumulate fit points for your next test by taking more runs and jsts It is not one time use as medals.

I guess I should have clarified what I meant RE: FIT Points... It should be common sense that points redeemed for a SGT test for the run/jst can't be used again for the LT test and so forth, unless of course, you do the run/jst again...
