I just want to thank everyone who went to the protest session to fight for their points and at the same time - giving these clowns who scored high EXTRA points that they complain about. Its the same people who think passing a test with a 104 must mean better leadership qualities then the 68. The horrendous questions led to factual Throw Outs Which led to extra points. haters say its a curve. passing this test is for your OWN paychecks, OWN pension, OWN FAMILY. - NOTHING MORE!!!
stop the bullshit. Same argument can be made that 9 out of the first 44 on this list is in NOT IN AN ADMIN Position. 9 on the first 44 are actually on PATROL. What does that say about the other 35 of 44 on the top of the list who scored high?
DO NOTHINGS Right? ONLY WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BAN dr1983!! BAN HIM!!!!!!!!! fkin loser who hates on everyone and is already a captain. What a HATER!!!!!

How is it a curve when Im hearing people in the mid 60s didnt make the list. If theres throwouts that means if they got the question right they didnt pick up additional points, hence no curve.

Seniority , military, jst, 1-1/2 mile run, metals. All are added to his perfect score which could easily eclipse 100. Im not saying there was a curve or not, I have no idea. Just saying thats how he could end up with over 100.

He doesnt have military, but I guess the other stuff could be worth 4. I think it was scaled but it doesnt really matter

Everyone I speak with all went up 5 points after throw-outs and misc points. All went up by 5 points, the curve was by 5 points. If you failed with a 65 you are on the list. Simple math ppl

you want a perfect test? get rid of all senority points, medals, jst, etc....

that being said, if you have a long time in rank, and hit the 70 threshold after throwouts - you should be getting more points than others. You earned that whether you are admin or not. If you take the time to write up medals and they're ultimately approved, that's on you. If you take the time to run around a track 6 times and pass a JST, that's on you.

DON'T FORGET they gave points to people for just LIVING in the city to originally get on this job. Is that fair to the more qualified, more educated, life experienced kid who lives in other counties? No, but it's what they do.

Go on NYPDONLINE.Org - public information. The #1 guy has 77 medals + 300 collars which means hes a Beast (compliment) and prob did the JST FOR 4 years 2 points plus all the other crap you can get. The fact he had a MINIMUM of 5 hrs to study while at work DAILY in IAB signing off cases is Precisely how you get a 104. I need to meet this guy to shake his hand! Collard! 77 medals! prob with a 6 pack abs and a Hot girlfriend. Thats how you get a 104. Dude probably wrote the constitution of the united states in 4th grade.

oh and suffolk county and nassau county give + 5 for residency points too. Its NOT just a city thing.

If 30 are promoted in January, and that brings the vacancies to around zero, how long till the next batch of promotions do we think?

I would imagine they go back to normal and promote 10-15 every few months. Also depends on how many DI spots are available. Think about it, they have to be short the allotted amount since they have not promoted captains for such a long time.

Anyone know how many precincts will have impact with the rookies? Wonder if they would start putting 2 xo in that command and have one assigned to the ftu cops.

Very possible. They did do that for a while when Impact was around

We will have XOs assigned to ftu as soon as we get corporals, nco Lts, and 12 hour tours. And a competitive contract.

Yes, SOL is in charge of the ftu program at the pct.

there are many commands without an XO in general at this point. SOL is the NCO LT, and we will probably get 10 hours tours in the next year.

How exactly would 10hr tours work?

say 0700 x 1700 then 1630 (overlap by 30min) x 0430

then normal midnights of 2300 x 0900?

3 tours at 10hrs with what time slots?
