So 2/3 of the people who sat for the exam are on the list? Why make a list of 500 people when theres 300 captains? The only thing i can think of is the job didnt want to give another exam for the next four years.

Right on the money, and there was a curve/more throw outs. I know multiple people in the low 60s who end up passing

Yea thats what Im worried about. But with all the retirements/movement/promotions/ age out Im hoping they someone get a very large chunk of this list. 100+ a year is tough.

Same thing happened on the last sgts list. People with a lot of time in rank, maybe in a detail that didnt try too hard, get gifted throwouts/curve whatever you want to call it, all of a sudden their bonus points and seniority kick in and they pass hundreds of people that legitimately passed. Its a travesty.

Lol. It happened to me with at least 7 people that I know, imagine those that I dont know about. Good for those guys, but its like crazy man.

Like why have such a long list when you only promote 40 to 50 per year. So you fuck up people list numbers just to have a participation reward. Unless there is something going on that we dont know about this feels like a second place trophy.

At the end of the day none of us know if it was a curve or there were that many throw outs from the protest. And keep in mind you gotta figure there will be a huge initial bmoc off this list, at least 30. So figure they will promote well over 50 this year, then get back to the standard 40-50 or hopefully more for this lists sake for the years to come. Looking at it that way there is a possibility they get through a good portion of the list. I mean who here would have thought in a million years they would ever promote the entire last 2600 person SGT list and 1400 plus Lt list? You never know with this job.

I am not sure why they made a 500 names list. It will take more than 6 years to promote everyone unless the job is really short of executives .

There was no curve. They simply passed everyone who got a 60 and up. I never got any points back after the protest, my scored stayed exactly the same it was on screen after I took the test. I know numerous people who scored a 60 , and are at the very very bottom of the list.

People in the 60s are in the 450s.

People who got a 70 are in 250s.

People in the 90s are in the top 25.

Scores seem fine to me.

Theres around 750 uniformed executives. For everyone to get made, roughly 2/3 of the entire rank will have to leave while the list is active. But out of the 479, how many people will pass up the rank, not have the education, or retire before being called? How many will just take the rank to have it on their resumé and then retire. While I agree the 479 is a very large number, realistically it will be less. How much less, time will tell. Being on the list is better than not being on the list at all. Theres still hope for those at the bottom. Good luck to all!

Cant believe Im agree with leslie. Yea they will probably get to list#50 next month due to passovers. Was there a curve? No. But there were double answers and valid protests. I told you clowns i successfully protested 6 questions myself but no one wanted to listen.
