Hypothetically can they establish the list then promote from it months later (after the lieutenants exam) or is that not typically what happens? Or do they usually establish a list, then promote weeks later? I just want to see how big this list is lol

Bro, Im expecting a huge list. I dont think this big list era aint a good thing, but nothing we can do about it. Im expecting a 3-4K list, where only the first 2-2.5k get promoted.

the era is gonna suck for us. I got a good score and I doubt I would make the next exam, meaning we gotta wait 4 yrs til the next one. It is what it is, out of our control. The more frequent exams was better to move up faster.

The only time in the last 20 years a list was extended was because of a global pandemic. Unless Putin starts dropping nukes and we all get drafted to WWIII i wouldnt bank on any more list extensions.

I really hope that doesnt happen lol but hell if the exam usually expires after 4 years then there will be a good 2000+ sergeants promoted. I know some cops who genuinely studied, some right beside me every week, and they barely failed. If they get promoted that makes me happy.

motivation to kill that Lt exam, whenever it is we end up taking it. Remember there were ppl who waited a long time and this was their first exam. If it happens to us then we should make sure we take studying seriously for the next exam.

Screwed? They'll have the seniority in rank over the rest of the list, and not be sitting on hospitalized bags of shit sooner than you

I mean theyll potentially just lose out on the march Lt exam and by the time the next one comes theyll have 3-4 years in rank which yes will give them longevity points. However, being a sgt is no laid back position
