Thats like 300 more than last exam....jeez, wonder how many sgts on the lt list put in to take it and how many its are actually serious about the rank as well

There are 1580 (give or take a few) Lieutenants on the job. The most that has ever filed for a Capt exam was 1064, the 1997 Captain exam. Two years later 1042 filed for the 1999 Captain exam....

i could be wrong i remembered hearing that the average passing rate for a capt exam is around 18-20% thats approx a list of 143-160
