Taking a promotional exam while on unpaid LOA?

Figured someone on the 2016 sgt exam must have done it

If you take an unpaid LOA (child care for example), can you sign up for and sit for a promotional exam while out on said leave?

if anyone has been on an unpaid LOA, Im trying to do it but some things are confusing, would love to know some answers to questions MELD and the pension section are stumbling around. DM me.

Well idk about (unpaid leave) since that puts you OFF payroll. But im doing FMLA (leave WITH pay) which is the same as if i was on vacation because im on the payroll and ceremonial told me yes i can sit for the exam. They told me Only person who cant take it the exam is a person whos out on military deployment. But ceremonial unit is who you want to talk to

You can take a promo tests on unpaid leave. They put you back for the day.  For better answers call the MELD desk.
