Hey, everyone! First, just found out about this forum, keep up the good work on getting us the latest info!
Out of curiosity, I read something about them clearing 380-400 names on previous pages, can anyone explain how the whole clearing process works? Who clears us to get promoted? Does having the names cleared mean that its just a waiting game now?

Also, when people are passed over/resign/retire/defer, do they just move on to the next cop on the list?

For what it's worth, I heard 150+ sgts on 03/25 directly from the mouth of an assistant chief. As the CO of a patrol boro I think they would know how mamy bosses they're getting

Yea that was me my source heard that very recently but she also told me couple weeks back that the current plan was to have this list done by June until she heard this so like I said IDK but i have heard the same thing from a few other people that the rumor is Promos paused till after Summer so like I said not very reliable info yet Unless someone else here heard something similar.

Finest dropped Feb 4 (fri) for a Feb 9 (wed) Bmoc. Someone posted an unofficial list on Feb 3. Hoping thats the case for us. Ill take an unofficial list tomorrow. However, hoping for the official finest tomorrow evening but doubtful since they always release the finest with 2 days between promotions. Good Luck everyone.

Is there any update? I reached out to a friend and he stated he hasnt heard anything yet about it being signed off on as of yet but that doesnt mean it wasnt. Did you hear that it was approved ?

The paperwork has been given to city hall days ago! As of Friday it was not signed off on. Lets see what today brings!

I think If we dont hear anything today, its fair to say the 25th is not happening

Spoke to someone in ceremonial. They said they dont have a promotion ceremony on the 25th as of yet. This could mean bc city hall has not confirmed it yet so they havent reserved the date..or it could mean..worse news.

Hey guys so my source is saying shes hearing promos cancelled for right now the census is that its coming from Mayors office like I heard few days ago as far as for how long its not confirmed but rumor is September for when Permanent All Out is over
Like I said not confirmed but thats word going around for right now but she said theres a possibility promos could be back on depending on what the mayors office does
Sounds like a mess so take it for whats it worth I don't see no promos until September happening but its a new regime and Adams can basically do whatever he wants so who knows

Surprised the SBA hasnt fought to reduce the number of Sgt Vacancies, Im sure they could use the SBA Union Dues to help offset the million Mullins pocketed.

Reduce ? The SBA wants more members. Not less. Members pay dues. Dues support unions.

My advice for anyone on this list over 2400 is sign up and study regardless

Im in next class and I still signed up and I am studying because anything can happen and remember this the city does NOT care especially when it comes to the NYPD. Until your name is on the finest your still a PO. I hope everyone gets made but there is just a lot of uncertainty right now

I say there is still a chance although it doesnt looks good. Technically Wednesday would be latest for finest which allows the 1 day grace period for Lts photos and Dets for paperwork.
