I don't think Captains were ever considered for this promotion. Only Detectives, Lts and other discretionary promotions. Sucks but let's see what happens for January. Maybe they put in a big class in January and let the new Mayor and PC have a big splash.

The proposal was initially for all ranks and discretionary. Now all that is still currently approved are LTs and DTs. Discretionary as of now seems to be cut as well. But I agree. Now all we can do is hope for a decent result from the new administration.

Names have been cleared to 2088. It was said to me that no sergeants this month & only LTs. They havent gotten the next batch to clear yet, but CARB is caught up.

 Those names will need to be cleared again. Clearances only last for 2-3 weeks and then they need to be done over. Since there will be no Sgts in this month those names will be cleared again in January.

Clearing almost exactly 150 names seems like a decent sign. Maybe a large SGT class next month with no other ranks
