Just a heads up for those on this last finest and are too excited to check their department emails. The finest and the emails may cause a little confusion. The finest states not to change your uniform, but the emails checklist says you need a gold nameplate and the cap with the gold gilt on it, NO CHEVRONS though !

Question. How are you suppose to get a gold name plate in short notice? Dont they take time to make?

 No it takes 1 minute to make it at the uniform store.

Do not put chevrons on your uniform. You put them on after you get promoted. I already had the gold name plate and cap device because I was a detective, some people had them, some didn't. Then again, when I got promoted, we were still dealing with COVID and they really didn't check.

He/she/ze/ve or whatever is simply implying do not add chevrons for the ceremony. When you leave drop the uniform off to the tailor and get your stripes added when you go home.

Promotion items required:
Dress uniform the way it came when you ordered it. No admin uniform pants. Not tight nor loose fitting.
Collar brass on BOTH the blouse and the shirt.
Gold name plate
Gold 8pt cap braid
Gold cap device

If you have any awards I suggest you get a new backing and skip at the least one. Currently have a 4 bar, get a 5 bar and allow for the new shield to have room without going over your awards.

Don't over think it.

The same for Sgt to LT promotions. If you notice the LTs get promoted with chevrons still adorned. Same deal here. You stay one rank below during promotions.

Two classes will probably not run concurrently. Anything is possible its just not probable. Promo 8/27, if thats the next date, would be fine

 Yes heard the same today. Heard the academy is reserved as well. August 27th is also the last day of my Bmoc. Didnt hear numbers.

Speak to your admin Lt once the finest drops. I did a RDO swap. I would have been RDO on the day of promotion. As long as the day you want to swap falls within the same week.

418 as of NOW which includes the recent promotees and losses to LT ranks? I think Sgts only gained 24 slots since 79 went in and 55 LTs got made. As if nothing changed.

Yes the instructor said this in class today. Do anyone know the numbers? I have people asking me but the instructor didn't mention any numbers. He just said a big class like our Bmoc class. Our class actually has 79. Where is @truthseeker
