"Breaking News!!! Due to the needs of the department and the ever increasing protests the department will be switching to 12hr tours starting on 04/19. There is no end time as the department will review the situation as time goes on. In regards to the protests the PC will sign off on an order suspending all vacations through September. 30% of all narcotic units will be sent to All Out, tentatively scheduled to end in September. ALL promotions are suspended until further notice. The department wants to increase MFF by at least 100 vans by June. Stand by for more breaking news!" #Anonymous #Unverified @MyNYPD

If you go back and re-read the article. It's been amended .... well updated. Now it's states "considering"
12 hour tours depending on any civil unrest determined by the verdict. Additionally, the post removed the verbiage regarding cancellations of vacations til sept and promotions being pushed back. They should have spoke to dcpi before printing that nonsense! Anyway carry on....

Vacations are contractual. If they didnt cancel them last year, theyre not going to cancel them now.
As far as BMOC, its been quiet. No news at all.

 Friday is too far in advance. May 5th is literally in 2 weeks. Probably a few days before but not Friday.

Is this from a good source (about the class being as big as Novembers) ?

 

This makes sense from a technical standpoint. Historically NYPD never promotes in the summer, might as well make up for the lack of promotion during summer by putting in a big class. But then again its the NYPD, no logic or sense to anything. I hope you are right.

Like the March 18 promo nobody is going to know anything until the finest drops. Looks like they are trying their best not to leak any promotions info until the last minute to surprise us. So we basically have to be patient. If there is a May 5 promo finest should drop this Friday.
