Units and Vacancies

Being that a lot of these retirees (Sgts and Lts) are from units,  what do you see happening..

A) Personnel replenishing ASAP from patrol once promos resume

B) Doing more with less (nypd motto) and not filling those spots

C) Taking their sweet ass time filling the openings when manpower allots

Combination of B and C. Lets be real. The job isnt going to rush to replace a LT at Barriers or QAD.

While I agree with you, the need for supervision is at an all time high. They are going to have to replace supervisors where they are needed or risk chaos.

For that purpose the job needs a frontline supervisor-an NYPD sergeant who has the toughest job on Earth. I agree with Psycho, just because we are short by 200 Lts doesnt mean 200 will get promoted anytime soon

The Bottom line is that nobody really knows how many of the vacancies they are going to promote. The only thing that is known is that there are two years left to this list. As a result, whatever amount of lts the job needs will come from this list until another list is established.
