Disregard this thread, mods can delete. July 29th promotion, its back on. Didnt hear a confirmed number just that it is on Monday the 29, pretty odd.

I never said you were wrong about the class. In fact, if you look back on the other thread I said I hope youre right about the class. I said your vacancies number was fake, as it is no where near 140.

When would we receive the emails to pick a mentoring command? Also when would mentoring start?

Well since you said nice try, I automatically thought you were implicating I was lying or at least trying to. However, that information was also shared with me by NG and we were both in disbelief. Nonetheless, thats the information he received. N Im just joking and being sarcastic about an apology. It doesnt bother me. I just dont want to give people false hope. I shared the information I was told. The leadership unit has to schedule my unit for a lecture and thats why I was given the date. I will continue to share as much info as I get in hopes of helping you guys out but Ill be in the class after July, God willing!

Looks like my original information was good, No July class. Bad info was put out by uniform promotions. Crossing fingers for August.

Kudos Monkeybones. That is unusual though for NG to get it wrong.

I had heard rumblings from various persons at the Puzzle Palace that the July 29th promotion was being pushed to the end of August. Think about it, Leadership doesnt need to know right now. The Class wouldnt start til 7/30, they have all month to be notified of a cancellation. Im betting (Not that I am in the know) the promotion is bumped one month.

Unless you need the OT, wouldnt be a bad thing to miss Labor Day weekend and UNGA if in leadership for 3 weeks. Every situation is different but isnt the worst thing w/ a one month delay. But you gotta hope its just that, one month, not 4 months...

Depending on where they end up  Labor Day may be the last big hit of OT for the year...

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, LT Ng confirmed this morning that there will be no LT class at the end of this month. He said there will be 80 SGTs at the end of this month and 80 SGTs at the end of August/beginning of September. Everyone kind of figured it out based on there being no LT mentoring finest message, but he actually brought it up this morning. He said the higher ups claim that if they put it in a LTs class at the end of July there wont be enough SGTs. Sounds like they gave him a BS excuse but idk

It's only if you've been off patrol for more than 2 years. Might even be 3

I dont know if this is accurate. I know two people who are up this round and they havent received anything (been off patrol for a long time). Also I thought they didnt do emails for Lt mentoring...just transfers. Could be new I guess. Just looking to confirm.

Smaller class than last time. From what I saw, the highest list number on this mentoring list is 339.5 and one Passover which brings the grand total to around 35 (+/- a few from patrol). Believe what you want, I can care less. I am just giving you the facts to help anyone currently waiting. Like all mentoring emails it says does not guarantee a class. When the finest drops you will revisit this forum and say Monkey was right. The numbers match the vacancies.

We already gained 11 terminal numbers since the last update 2 weeks ago and the majority of the terminal numbers will become vacancies on 7/19. The department can easily accommodate 50.

There will be a finest message. The people who received an email were just told to pick 3 commands out of the ones listed where they would like to do their mentoring. Mentoring finest should drop the week before they start mentoring, which is roughly first or second week of August.

August promotions are scheduled for Friday 8/30. If Lt mentoring is three weeks it would probably start the week of Monday 8/12??? These picks have to be in by next week, Tuesday the 23rd. This is all my own speculation- Because mentoring isn't going to be five weeks, unless the leadership class starts prior to an actual promotion date???

 So the number is 35?

Heard a rumor that the next Lt class will get promoted the 2nd week of BMOC and not upfront as previous classes. Tentative start date for Lt bmoc 8/19 -9/6 with a 8/30 promotion.

West Indian would be 9/02.  They'd still be in class til 9/06.  I heard 8/12 start for mentoring as well, just strange they sent out the mentoring email 3+ weeks prior...

Still hearing only 30 for end of August. Anyone else hear the same? Would make sense for a bigger class considering all the vacancies.
