Someone in Bmoc now said that they are thinking about overlapping classes and putting a class on October 16.

how can they do that without the mentoring program. are they going to cancel that portion .

as someone that went in when they were promoting heavy off the 2013 list, they absolutely can and do overlap...i guess they just change the order of some of the trainings

The problem with being a sgt is that you are the lowest ranked supervisor which means you will do 90% of all supervisory duties.

The other thing is no one becomes a sgt to stay a sgt. You have to be a sgt before you can be the best rank on this job, a Lt.

Im sick of all this "Sgt is the worse rank" nonsense. The guys/girls saying all this crap are the useless cops who come to work and refuse to do absolutely nothing every single day. And by nothing I dont mean come to work and try to have an easy day, we all should shoot for that. What I mean is the lazy bums who will screw anyone over to get what they want or have their way.

The Sgt. rank is a million times betters then PO, cut the crap.

With November class list may hit 410-415 but with passovers they didnt even hire 400 a year from this list. It's sad. Everyone I talk to that made sgt tell me the same thing that they short sgts. I pray they do two huge class of 100 people but I know won't happen.

The instructora there stated that there will be only one more class after the current one thats In there now. They stated that Is was going to be a much larger class but really didnt specify on the size. Remember everything is subject to change.

I'm hearing another LT and Cpts class is coming soon. Which will be great for our vacancies. And that the Sgt Class in November will be between 70-80. October mentoring is no longer happening. Anyone else hearing the same??

Also on the dream sheet theres 54 cmds with 59 sgts in. The other 5 going to one of the 54 cmd or their hook. Makes no sense when those 5 can be sent to cmds that are short.
