I believe that may have to do with getting paid night differential while working on days. I worked midnights for a long time and received the full night dif, but when I was switched to days payroll continued to give me night dif for about six months. I then received a letter from either payroll or personnel stating that they would be "recovering the overpayment " of night differential paid to me while working day tours. This category later appeared on my pay stubs with my calculated pay check deductions of overpaid night dif. There are many workplace issues that the Department and the Unions do not explain to the NYPD workforce. This whole system in the PBA and SBA by-laws where people can be "appointed" to delegate spots must be abolished. If any of you have ever attended a PBA meeting, let me tell you it is a room filled to the brim with scammers. My advice to anyone on this job is to never trust anyone who has "Special Assignment PAY." Their allegiance is to only two people: (1) themselves (2) the person who arranged for them to receive discretionary special pay. I would also advise not to trust any delegate from any union that (1) works in community affairs or auxiliary spots or (2) drives a higher ranking supervisor while serving as a delegate. By the way, an NYPD Special Assignment Pay Sergeant just went to jail this week for stealing special assignment pay overtime.

I have about +- 10 years on the job, I know not all should get lumped into this category but you hit the nail right on the head. SSA pay is a crock of sh*t. Out for themselves and the one who " put them in for it." The current and prior commands I worked in also had the Aux Coord / Property Clerk and Comm Affairs PBA Delegates LMAO.. Can't make it up
No offense but I have never heard of "Adjunct Instructor Travel Time." This sounds like a benefit that only a very attractive female employee would get. There are many evil, attractive female employees that work in headquarters. All of these females are heavily connected. In fact, these job titles like Staff Analyst, Civilian Attorney level I, II and III or Staff Coordinator are filled with relatives or girlfriends of high level officials or wealthy people. None of these people are hired cold off the street. These female employees don't need to worry about travel time, they get driven home by police officers in clean, unmarked department vehicles. This all sounds typical and funny like some demented 1980's sit com. Its funny until you have one of these young, attractive, but ignorant bullies telling you what to do.

Nah it does exist and not for beautiful women. The job is getting serious about training. All patrol housing and transit training sgts do a week each quarter at the academy for either BLASTT or Bodycam and you're entitled to travel time cause that's what they said
That other stuff you're talking aabout dunno about that
