Parcells, laugh now, cry later Officer. Youre not going to have all this time and happy go lucky spirit when youre a Patrol Sgt. The absolute worst rank and position on this job. Like I said Last week, youre just a troll that is bored on the SGT forum and needs more attention. I also want to mention its very hard to get off patrol without a crane, standard hooks dont work anymore. Just remember these words when youre shaking in your boots the day you get your patrol assignment from the Sgt BMOC course.

While disappointing, this outcome was pretty much expected. Should be an annoying 2 weeks of waiting but hopefully the vacancies will continue to rise and a June rumored promotion comes true.

If that was true the dept would not have the rank. If it's a useless rank why are you on this board? Sgt's like you make the LT rank useful, now take desk because I can tell you can't handle yourself on streets and STFU!!! Every LT has walked through your shoes, but you have not walked one day in LT's shoes, until then shut your C-U-M deposit box.

And just because the job has plans to promote on this date or that date it still all hinges on DCAS releasing the list. The job is on our side here guys and are doing everything to help us out. Unlike previous administrations...our current executive adminitration has empathy in regard to the exam/promotional process..hence way the last three exams (sgts, lts, and Capt) were groundball/fair exams.

But unfortunately, at the end of the day its all about dcas. We are at their mercy...sad but true.

DCAS knows what theyre doing. They know we studied hard and they want everyone to get promoted. They know that if they release the list now, too many sergeants will die in the list. Sooo they plan to hold the list for 5 years, so everyone can get promoted within a year of the list being released.

Funny but true...although I only have 8 years on the job I've seen my share of dcas' experimental ideas with peoples lives.

Dcas..its been over 8 months..its 2018 now not the 1970s..everything is electronic....release the list!

Ive passed 2 test and waiting for the captains list to come out.. Believe me when i tell you guys, i know the heartache and frustration of coming on this site, sometimes daily and hearing bad info. The trolling gets real annoying especially when you know the end is near... But i can prob give the greatest advise you have probably read since the exam.. STOP LOOKING ON THIS SITE.. you will drive yourself crazy with the unnecessary stress. Believe me, when the list drops you will get a text from someone within 30mins. Coming on here everyday MAY get you info on the list earlier than 30 mins after it drops but it's totally not worth it.. You will have saved yourself 10mins every day doing something well worth your 10 mins. Be well guys. And congrats to all the future LTs.
