Veterans Points

I know a guy who showed me his notification to report to DCAS on Friday for his vets points interview. Apparently he and a few other guys in the first class promoted off of the 2015 Lt exam got to rescind their vet points that they used on the Lt exam so that they can use them on the Capt exam. Makes sense because they still would have been in the first group even if they didnt use their vet points on that Lt exam due to 70 Lts being promoted in that first Lt group after the delays from the lawsuit. So a guy who was list number 40 would take his points back and move up to list number 60 and still would have been promoted on the same day and saved his points for the Capt test. He said the DCAS reps came in the room with papers for guys to fill out to take back their points. The guy I know was an original test day taker but he said even the makeup guys in the room got to take back their points to use for Capt.

Looks like this means the Capt list is probably going to be out in the next few weeks.

When did this rescinding take place?
Has anyone else heard about this?

Those who know me know that I was an original day test taker and I was in the first bmoc. Although I did not see any dcas personnel in the classroom I did hear one military scammer talking about taking back her military points so she can use it for Captains promo.

Single post or not, king in the north sounds correct.

Yes you can withdraw your veterans points and use them for the following exam if you choose to. During my BMOC some guys scored high enough they would be in the class regardless if they used them or not so DCAS reps went around with paperwork having them sign to withdraw their veterans points and use them on the next exam. Its not a scam, they are earned points that people serving their country earned while crybaby's sat in college utilizing the umbrella of freedom for which they provided. Also, you can withdraw your veterans points multiple times, upon Dcas interview prior to establishment of the list, in BMOC, or essentially anytime and they will issue you a new list number. These points are use once and are given careful consideration when using. 2.5 points for Veteran, 5 points for disabled veteran.

And clearly you were one of the original 100 haters 96times6. You crossed the line with this post! Men and women who earned their veteran points gave their sweat and blood for this country. They should get 10 veteran points to use if you ask me. Most of them arent even the weekend warriors who shame for every promotional exam. Moneybobes is right! Give them the respect they deserve jackass!

Oh STFU ondeeair! I am a military veteran myself who participated in more campaigns than you have years on the job. I was referring to those scammers who schedule their own drill schedules to coincide with test dates.
Stop jumping on every post. Aren't you a Sergeant anyways? Why are you even commenting here?!

Yes Vet points may be rescinded by the vet. And yes it's done often enough.

Whether I'm at the top or the bottom, I'll still be a captain before you ball bag. Because I'm already  a lieutenant, and secondly I actually passed a captain exam , as opposed to dreaming about one day possibly passing ..... I can't tell if you resemble ontheeair or that other attention whore Jman... Either way you're still an ass hole
