If the original list is 1000 people and they want more martians on the list so they curve it to to get 1500 people on it.

But if they promote only 1000 people then it changes nothing.

 Take a hint. Theyre not going to make anymore bosses then they need within 4yrs unless an extention is approved. Theyre gonna cut the list and those who dont make it prob would have not made the list to begin with. Those who are cut and sue have no leg to stand on bc the city will say they helped them with the scaling. At the end of the day it was as fair as possible on the citys end so its your fault if you didn't do better. The new wave of tests will go 4 full years with no lawsuits, at least ones with any legit grounds

 Exactly!,...now its all about ones score,...lets just hope enough Lt retire so everyone gets made,..but he way the economy is set up,..dont see too many Lt running out the door,...we will see

Veterans don't have their appointments till next week. Call me pessimistic, but I can't see DCAS working diligently and having a list certified within a week from that. Late april/early may would be my best guess. Just a guess though.

No.....As I stated before, before the vet letters went out, the list was projected to drop in April......now with vet letters going out and guys going the 4th and 5th of April to verify their points only continues to prove I wasnt trolling brother. im not in the bus of trolling.  Nupe nupe may I join your group! This whole dcas scoring scandal has thrown a monkey wrench in the game. Original I think dcas was going to release the list in april...but things may have changed. Hopefully elder diggs can help us out on this one.

What scandal? How else is dcas supposed to rank people taking two completely different exams on a single list? There's no scandal and no monkey wrench. The show goes on.... albeit slowly, but it goes on.

 List is around 1300 names.  The job has the list.  They have had it for a few weeks.  JST points have already been added.  I'm not a troll and this is not a rumor. It should drop sometime in April or early May.

After, because they're only added to passing scores. So before you can add it, you'd have to know what scores were passing.

 After. The scaling applies to raw score. My question is whether the list of 1287 has the scaling alrealdy applied or is that pre-scaling because if its pre-scaling it could take a whole lot longer..

 After.  The 1287 is the final list.  I also saw the list but didn't want to add that here. It did not have list numbers because all of the points are not done being added.  JST is done and Vets are coming up.  I can't speak on medals.  Once all of that is added then the list is sent back to DCAS to create the list numbers and then the OFFICIAL list with numbers is sent back to the department.  The department will then do the IAB and OEEO checks for promotions and a BMOC class will be made.  The rumor is end of April for Lt BMOC but don't be surprised if its in May.  When the Sgt list was published the IAB and OEEO checks took less than a week and the class went in the following week so you never know.  But for those looking for an actual number of Sgts on the list it is 1287. Before anyone starts talking about the list being cut,  there is no talk of cutting any promotional list.  DCAS will not administer another exam until the list is almost exhausted. If the 4 years is up and there are still ppl on the list, it will be extended.  This new process just sucks for those who are waiting to take the next Sgt, Lt or Cpt exam.

Do LTs always get promoted up front? Or will they start the leadership course while waiting for a promotion? For example if the list comes out in early May but there aren't any promotions until late May, what do they do?

 Lots of ppl scored 85 or better but i honestly didnt pay attention to all the scores i really was just looking for a couple buddies to see if they made the list because they were right on the cusp. All 5 made it.
