Can't open IAB investigations and certain CCRB situations hold you up? You might not even know about the IAB investigation but I'm sure passovers would now be notified of them so they can be cleared. I could be wrong but I think that's the case

Zero iab ccrb or investigations.  So Im literally cluess as to what happened. ico Made a few calls and I have nothing pending.  I have to call uniform promotions Monday.  Its a little kick in the ass but well see

How you know IAB doesnt have an open investigation on you? A Lot of times they wont tell you until you get GOed....

 You can have someone in your command drinking hatorade and he called iab on for something. It happens every exam.

pending investigation dont necessarily mean anything...I technically had one but the promotions unit was told I was OK so i was good to go and I didnt get passed over
only thing I could think of Mnm is that you had something that while not jam up worthy,was investigation worthy...and with the list coming out and the class established as quickly as it was, there wasnt time to clear up something you had pending
so maybe you have one that while it didnt change your duty status, is technically something that promotions needs the all clear on first, doesnt have to be nefarious necessarily

The thing I dont get with this job is you put so many hours into studying and they hold you up for bull**** reasons. Why can you get promoted and them continue to do whatever they thing its necessary to do to complete your investigation. If you are an active cop not one of those just pushes paper there is great chance u will get ccrb or sued or even get complained about, its part of this job we all picked. Dont hold some skell making an allegation against you to get promoted. But I bet you if you know someone high ranked or related to someones high ranked they will quicken or even skip all the investigation to get you promoted. Thats what gets me mad but nothing we can do about it. This job is either who you know or who you blow. Sorry to say it but it is what it is.

Anyone have number for Unit in charge of recording college credits? Training Records Unit?

I had 61 credits coming in and added additional credits to transcript since graduating. Want to make sure I dont get skipped over because records arent updated.

College credits are handled by the educational tracking unit in the old police academy. You can convert the credits from the academy by using excelsior college. You need to have the job send them an official transcript and pay them around $300. It takes about two weeks by using regular mail. You have to give the Job a money order for like $3 and some change. Look up educational tracking unit in the department roster and give them a call and be guided by what they say. They are very helpful

Theres no transcript fees of $3 for the dept anymore. A finest message came down like a week or two ago stating its free now. Just to contact the educational tracking unit and they will send it.

Yea I did exactly that, I have the updated transcript from Excelsior including the academy credits but I am just curious if the tracking unit needs the actual updated transcript from Excelsior or did they update my records on their own.

If I remember correctly you have to get the college to send an official transcript to the tracking unit directly. They wont even accept you hand delivering a sealed envelope. No bull****

Same here. I Had Excelsior send an official transcript to ETU and called to check in with them to make sure they had received it.

Excelsior has to send a transcript to the educational tracking unit. You can go on the educational tracking system through the intranet and see what they have for you as far as credits. I suggest everyone on this list do that ASAP and make sure it says you have over 64 credits. They lost my transcripts and it said I had 0 credits. I had to go back to my college and bring them an official sealed transcript. I also go 40 credits through excelsior.

 Not true...I brought it to them directly bc I had my college send it to them directly and they never got it. I brought it to them in person. It just had to be in my colleges envelope, with the stamp and seal still on it from the transcript Dept., unopened.

For anyone else in my situation, like Fuge052 said, you can go on Dept. computer. Applications > Personnel Data Forms > Education Tracking System.

Sure enough it said I only had 61 credits. Already had school start process of sending official transcript over.
