I'm always amazed at how long it takes to come out with a simple list. I know it's nothing new but still amazed by it. Coming up on 6 months and can't even come out with a list that I'm sure didn't have many protests.
Apologize if this was asked before but Can anyone clarify as to when the 4 year clocks starts for the list. Is it the establishment of the list or when the first person gets promoted. Ive heard different answers.

When the first person gets promoted. List can wait in limbo after being established happened with the 2013 Sgt exam.
ha! Unfortunately we don't even hit 6 months until later this week. The last Sgt exam took 10 months. They had some different circumstances, but I think we have a little while before we can start getting antsy.
All right ladies, stop fighting. My congrats. Today is a 6 month mark from the day we took this exam.
On the other note: Trolls will always be (they are just ingborant jrk$), but my guess is that we all have @ least 2 more months before DCAS makes up its mind.
Heard the list is dropping real soon like within a week can anyone else confirm?
Nupe usually isn't one to troll so I hope his rumor is correct. My guess was always a release date in March but the way DCAS has been, I have my mind set for June to not be disappointed.
Waiting for FODX to tell everyone to enjoy their chart days LOL

I agree, hope for the best, but expect the worse and you will never be disappointed

I'm still trying to figure out what "ingborant" means?
From what I've seen with previous exams the vet pref certification is a good indication that the list is imminent. So far no one has received their appointment letters, so I seriously doubt the list will be released this month unless people start getting letters this week.

What is the vet pref certification? Just a verification that their vet points were added?!?
I dont know what the rush is at this point. Were only at 80 vacancies and no active Captains list. The longer the wait the better at this point. If the list comes out tomorrow all were gonna hear for the next 2 months is the list is getting cut and not everyone is getting promoted.

It's for those who claimed veteran's preference on their LT exam application, they have to go down to DCAS and show proof that you meet the criteria for veteran's preference (show your DD214 and/or VA disability letter)
