They expire after 5 years so I would call the fit unit to see where you are at. My advice is to do the run/jst every year and bank those points up to 2.5.
Even if you cant get over the wall you do the run part first. So that .2.... after 5 years that would add up to a single point. The way these Lt exam results are shaping up...one point will be hugeeeee.
Its cold as hell outside right now but still do it for this year. Use those points for the next Capt exam or godforbid if this list gets cut the next Lt exam.
Quickly following up on the above inn regards to point expiration. They do expire after 5 years. However, it is just the .5 on its 5th anniversary, not the cumulative points you may have built.
For example, you've built up 2.5 points in the last five years and fail to do the JST this year, your points would be reduced to 2.0. To maintain it you have to keep running it and be aware that your JST 5 years ago would be expiring.
Besides preference points, this is the best way to gain yourself points on a passing exam. You can earn a Dept Medal of Honor risking your life knowing youre in grave danger and receive .375 points or you can run 6 laps and run up and down some stairs and get.5 points, crazy.
I recall hearing that during re-engineering there was talk of giving out points for attendance. ie. not going sick. Better than that certificate they give out.

NEGATIVE you need to pass the run for the .2 PLUS the JST for the .3 to add a total of .5 IF you pass the run only and not the JST you will lose the .2 and end with 0 BUT you can always try again the following year.
