Ok. Wait for the list to come out. Everyone who knows me also knows I don't post bull****. This is terrible news for me as well as I don't believe I got over an 80.

if this is true, we are looking at the 2006 list all over again. If LT'S don't retire, we looking at maybe 800-850off the list getting the bump; four years to do. Not good. SMH
I really don't post a lot but I received a little intel from CLIFF N who is a Sgt and got good intell from a reliable source that list is in the mid 600 don't have to believe it.
I really agree with you! with all the nonsense that went down with the 2015 Lt. Exam, why would folks think DCAS would not ensure there are safeguards in place? Surly they must know we'd all be talking and comparing answers online once the exam was completed! I definitely don't post often in the forums, but I have to say, this notion of us....talking about the exam would not provide a means for those who had not taken the exam with an advantage on passing! anyway, I wish everyone who has taken the exam the very best of luck in passing. I am in my seventeenth year on this job, I'd like to think I passed and I believe I did! it'll lock me into this job for at least another 7-8 years. So rest easy fellas, I cannot see this exam being compromised because a few of us choose to discuss the exam.
I can believe that..... Not to many people go to church on a Wednesday..... And I would think that the men and women who are "really" aboard serving our country isn't as much either hence the low number.... Pretty revealing....
So like. ..if Sally did sell seashells by the seashore like would she need a permit? And if she did who would write her a summons? Or would this be a good time for discretion? I lay in bed thinking this all the time
FYI- There are 34 vacancies for LT as of 10/2/17. This is updated with the last promotions. It can only go up from there. Bodes well for quick promotions once the list is established.

Any idea on the number of SGT vacancies?
Keep in mind these numbers aren't a guarantee of impending promotions for any rank, just a measure between the authorized headcount and the amount of positions filled. That being said, they can still be a good indicator of future classes, but don't put too much stock in it. The job can always stay below the authorized headcount if it wants, as long as it feels comfortable doing so (how those calculations are made is well beyond my knowledge and expertise).
As of 10/2, the job is -59 in sergeants, spread across SGT/SDS/SA. Even though they "over promoted" (there's really no such thing, as long as the authorized headcount isn't exceeded), they can still be in the range the job is comfortable with as far as being below the authorized number, and leave it that way until it deems necessary to promote. So if the job is cool with having -59 sergeants for X amount of months, that's what will happen. Hope that makes sense.
