Wow !!! That's it ?? So much for a list over 1000

Also, the exam in 2015 had about 100 people take the make-up exam, so let's assume another 100 take the exam and pass. Plus another 100 or so who get added after throwouts/double answers, that's only a list of about 750 people. Everyone will get made.

This would put initial passing at ~20%, just a little over the norm. I don't think make-ups and throw outs would add any where near 400 combined. The make-up numbers are significantly less now that religion and weekend drills of convenience in NJ or Fort Hamilton are no longer a factor. Given that I don't see more than 2-3 throw outs here (and that's being generous), I think well'll end up with a ~700-800 person list if this 525 number is accurate. Even that would be unprecedented in terms of pass rate, but totally standard in terms of size over the last decade.

The job knows the preliminary passers within a few days, I can guarantee that. Anyone who has written or reviewed an exam knows this, and as always, word travels. My educated guess is that DCAS has no intention of releasing (via FOIL) passing numbers that have not been finalized, hence their "we don't have that yet" response.

My prediction of 600-650 is looking good.
Make up exam takers will be minimal so that won't affect the size of the list. I would guess 2-3 throwouts/double answers max. I'll keep my fingers cross now that I make the list

As far as the low # concerned I am not surprised. In my cmd out of 8 Sgt's only me and another guy studied seriously. The other 6 half-assed from the get go, even after being told numerous times that this would be a fair test. I guess 2015 really killed the spirit

I would not say it was tricky. It had some tricky questions. It had 1-2 obscure procedures. But for the most part if u studied your ass off you should not have problems

Why would it be fake ? A 22% pass rate is significantly higher than the average pass rate so its very believable.

In fact, a 22% pass rate is 10x higher than the last lieutenants exams passing rate. So this could very well be legit.

If anyone thinks this test was a 50% pass rate you are crazy. So you honestly think every other person you were standing next to passed on the day of the exam? Let's stop the BS. Senior forum members heard 525 which sounds reasonable however, still unconfirmed. The test is over wait and see, nothing you can do about it.
