The call came to the desk for me around 1400. Don't know what list number they reached though. I was just a few name away so my list number wouldn't help.

Justice department states the nypd is soft on crime so the job decided to hurt its future executives as a way to show the justice department is not soft on crime. Now i feel like an idiot telling my family sorry false alarm.

The reason i was told was they're only doing AM promotions and do not have enough room to fit everyone, so they cancelled lts and discretionary promotions. How ever you want to take that or believe it is up to you, cause i dont fully believe it. I was also told the usual reason for canceling promotions is for monetary reasons.

I can see that, that way we r in right after Memorial day and out before 4th of july. No need to give us a holiday in training when they can work around it, to make sure we work both holidays.

does that mean bigger class in june or the same 25? cause they didnt get to 269 this go around. that would severely SLOW the list......

I have fired my secretary of promotions due to this fiasco that occurred last week. Don't worry my good people of the department. I've set up another day for you to shine that golden shield across the street and flip the bird to the big guy ruining your month. May 25... Some good sergeants going to get promoted. Don't know why there was some miscommunication between my white house and the personnel section... Must've not received the facsimile in time. Yes, we STILL use a fax machine. Greatest dept in the world.... Allegedly.
